Galvanic treatments or galvanic baths are techniques of electrochemical deposition of thin layers of a metal or alloy in such a way that the aesthetic and technical properties of the surface are modified and improved. The galvanic treatment of metals has a protective function and improves the intrinsic mechanical characteristics of the artefact as it increases corrosion resistance and technical performance.
Doratura Manerbiese performs galvanic treatments on all metal surfaces through deposits of silver, gold, tin, copper and nickel.
We specialise in theSILVERING and GILDING of decorative items (hangers, handles, cutlery, artistic castings and ornamental objects) and technical items (valves, nuts, fittings and electrical contacts).
We have two frame galvanic plants, one automatic and one manual; one of which is specifically designed for depositing silver, tin and copper in thickness for electrical, mechanical and electromechanical parts.
Our equipment allows us to carry out treatments of SILVER PLATING, GOLD PLATING, NICKEL PLATING, BLACK NICKEL PLATING, COPPER PLATING AND TIN PLATING. All treatments are carried out on: iron and iron alloy, copper and copper alloy, stainless steel.
Nickel plating is a galvanic treatment that occurs through the conversion of anode nickels into nickel ions. The nickel ions pass through the nickel-plating solution and are discharged onto the surface of the nickel-plated workpiece (cathode), where they are converted back to nickel metal.
